The most important thing is to change youe power setting. US use 110 volt electricity , Europe uses 220 volt. On the back of your Mac there should be a little red sliding button which will have 110 written on it.(I'm on a very old G4 so if you can't find it maybe Apple have moved it) slide it and 220 will be visible this(do that when your in Sweden).


In FCP change your preferences to Pal, (in easy set up) It shouldn't be too complicated, especially as your using a Pal DV camcorder.
I think the troubles will begin when you want to watch you stuff in the US.

I was in sweden for three weeks. I had a good time with my deaf swedish. They asked me to come back and stay for one year to make some more movies. I need your help feed back how to deal with my equipment from USA. I will use PAL DVCAM and convert plug for my G4 Apple. How do I deal to turn to PAL for import thing? (final cut pro) How do I expport to burn on pal formar dvd-r to play on europe's dvd player? Thanks... Jerome, deaf filmmaker and videomaker

That's all the advice I can give you. Pal ntsc issues I have no experience of.

Try posting a question at this forum there are alot of Pro FCP user's that trot the pond regularly
